After two months away, it is finally time to get a World Endurance Championship (WEC) race underway. The teams and drivers have headed to Austin, Texas for a six hour spectacle around the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).
Antonio Giovinazzi was the one that came out on top in qualifying for the No.51 Ferrari crew, but Jack Aitken was right there with him. The Briton set the exact same lap time as the Italian in his No.38 Cadillac, but will line up second since he set his lap later in the session.
The championship is also heating up, with the No.20 BMW (13th on the grid) and the No.7 Toyota (ninth on the grid) both tied on 75 points at the head of the field.
No car has won twice yet this season, a fact that extends to the always competitive LMGT3 class. Both BMWs and both Toyotas have won a race in Hypercar, while both Corvettes, the No.69 BMW and the No.10 McLaren have been your LMGT3 winners.
DIVEBOMB's Aaron Carroll, Marios Gantzoudis and Owen Bradley have you covered for all the action ahead. We will be LIVE right here with updates on all the action in Texas.
