MotoGP 2027 line-up update: Trackhouse MotoGP team

Following Ai Ogura’s confirmation that he will leave Trackhouse, the team has officially confirmed Raúl Fernández’s future by announcing a new contract that will keep him with the team until the end of the 2028 season.
With that announcement, only four teams remain to confirm the futures of their current riders for the upcoming season.
Ai Ogura
Ogura’s move to the Yamaha Factory Team was announced early, alongside the initial lineup of factory teams. He will be riding alongside Jorge Martín, forming what is definitely a formidable duo, especially based on what we've seen this season.
However, the bigger question is the machinery. Hopefully, Yamaha has something up its sleeve with the new regulations next year, as it hasn't shown much promise during the first half of the season.
In just his second season in MotoGP, Ogura has made quite an impact. Although an early injury ruled him out of what could have been a thrilling Rookie of the Year battle with Fermín Aldeguer last season, he has more than made up for it by consistently fighting at the front of the field.
He also claimed his first MotoGP victory at Assen, ending a 22-year wait for a Japanese rider to stand on the top step of the podium.
Raúl Fernández
With plenty of uncertainty surrounding Fernández's future, it has finally been confirmed, just a month after Ogura's announcement to leave, that he will remain with Trackhouse for another two seasons.
Fernández enjoyed a remarkable finish to the 2025 season, claiming a Sprint victory at Mandalika and securing his maiden MotoGP win at Phillip Island. He has carried that momentum into the current season, adding podium finishes in Italy and Hungary.
Justin Marks, Owner of Trackhouse Entertainment Group shared via their press release: “We believe that this team and these bikes are poised to be a consistent championship threat in the years to come and that Raul can help carry us to great heights in this sport.”
Incoming riders
It has been rumoured that Enea Bastianini is set to take Ai Ogura's place at Trackhouse, although an official announcement has yet to be made by either the team or MotoGP.
Bastianini has been a part of the KTM Tech 3 team since 2024, joining in with a 2+1 contract and a clause that allows him to leave the team by the end of the 2026 season. It was widely expected that he would return to Gresini Racing due to his strong ties with Ducati. However, those plans came to an end after Gresini confirmed its 2027 rider line-up of Joan Mir and Moto2 rider, Dani Holgado, paving the way for a surprise move to Aprilias instead.
Confirmation is expected in the coming days, so keep an eye out for announcements from Tech3, as well as VR46, Pramac and Honda LCR, as the final pieces of the 2027 MotoGP grid fall into place.
