NLS 10 Preview: The finale

The SP9 grid will be built of 19 GT3 cars, although only five of these are Pro entries. Porsche are bringing two of their 911 GT3s, at the usual hands of Dunlop and Falken Motorsports. The two cars will be piloted by Nico Menzel and Tim Heinemann respectively, with Sven Müller stepping into both cars.
It has been a season of mixed feelings for Porsche. On the bright side, Dunlop took their first ever victory as an entrant in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie in the sixth round of the NLS. Falken took a win in the previous round, however this is their only triumph of the season, compared to five wins in the 2025 season.
Schubert Motorsport are entering one BMW, driven by Jordan Pepper and Tim Tramnitz. Schubert have had a successful season in the NLS as a new entrant to the SP9 class; they have picked up two overall wins with their M4 GT3.

Haupt Racing Team will field a single Ford Mustang GT3, at the hands of Vincent Kolb and Nürburgring-master Frank Stippler. The American Marque are yet to win their first race at the 'ring this year.
Likewise, Walkenhorst are entering an Aston Martin, in a final attempt to win a race this year. Christian Krognes will race with Mateo Villagomez. Villagomez is currently trailing Stippler in the SP9 Pro Championship standings, but has a large points gap to overcome.
In the Pro-Am class, the Championship is not much closer. The 48 LOSCH Motorsport by Black Falcon Porsche crew, Patrick Assenheimer, Tobias Müller and Dylan Pereira, are leading the class, with nearly double the points of the Gamota Racing drivers. Both cars are competing this weekend.
In the overall ranking Edoardo Bugane, Yannick Fübrich and Sven Markert are leading by only four points to Alexander Fielenbach and Oskar Sandberg. The leaders are in the BMW 240i class, this is possible because of the point allocation system which rewards cars in bigger classes with more points, regardless of their overall finishing position.

When the Championship is decided, it will conclude an abnormal season of the NLS. The 2026 season started, or rather didn't start, with a cancelled NLS 1 due to poor weather. In place, NLS 2 opened the season, after being re-scheduled to allow Formula One Champion Max Verstappen to race.
Unfortunately in the fourth round of the season the Nürburgring claimed a new victim; Juha Miettinen lost his life in a pile-up at Steilstrecke.
NLS 10 will last four hours, on the combined circuit, which starts on the Grand Prix loop but cuts out the Ford Kurve, Dunlop Kurve and Michael Schumacher S, then joins the 20.832km Nordschleife. Driver's will be relieved to hear the weather is forecast to be dry, however there is a chance of rain after the race, which could pose a risk if it hits the track earlier.
The race is set to take place at 12:00 local time (11:00 BST) on Saturday, a few hours after Qualifying which will be completed from 08:30 until 10:00 local time. The event can be watched for free on YouTube with German or English commentary.
