Yuki Tsunoda provided his assessment of the Formula One mid-field battle ahead of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver detailed his satisfaction with his recent race at Zandvoort.

Tsunoda began by highlighting the intense competition across the grid: "The whole field is incredibly tight - every millisecond counts," he stated.
This observation reflects the current state of F1 where performance differences between teams are minimal. Gaining an advantage now requires precision and maximum effort from both the driver and the car.
The Japanese driver also discussed his recent performance in the Netherlands. He felt the race weekend represented a significant step forward for him: "[Zandvoort] was one of the best weekends I had in terms of progress."
He noted that the race was not without its difficulties. The use of the Safety Car added a layer of complexity: "It was not easy at all with the Safety Cars but [we were] able to squeeze into the points so pretty happy."
This result along with Max Verstappen's P2 provides a boost in momentum for Red Bull, but for Tsunoda, his future with the team remains unclear.
Tsunoda's comments indicate a driver who is aware of the pressures of a highly competitive series but remains focused on personal and team improvement - undoubtedly hoping for a contract renewal in the near future if he can keep up the positive trajectory from his weekend in Zandvoort.
