Valentino Rossi and Kevin Magnussen to contest Spa 24 Hours in 5 car WRT entry

BMW and customer squad WRT have revealed its full line-ups for next months Spa 24 Hours event.


WRT will compete in the event with its already confirmed three entries, spread across Pro, Gold and Silver classes in the GTWC EU (GT World Challenge Europe) Endurance Cup.


The No.32 Pro car was driven by Kelvin Van Der Linde, Charles Weerts and Ugo De Wilde to a win at the opening round of the season in Paul Ricard. They were joined on the grid by the No.777 Gold Cup entry (Al Faisal Al Zubair, Jens Klingmann and Ben Tuck) and the No.30 Silver Cup entry (Gustav Bergstrom, Etienne Cheli and Gilles Stadsbader).


Those three will be joined at Spa by the No.46, which will be at the hands of Rossi, Magnussen and René Rast, while the No.31 will be entrusted to Marco Wittmann, Sheldon Van Der Linde and Dries Vanthoor.


Significantly, four of the drivers of these new entries are BMW factory Hypercar drivers in the WEC (World Endurance Championship).


Elsewhere in BMW customer racing, ROWE Racing will expand their efforts in Spa from one car to two.


The already existing No.98 entry will be piloted by regulars Augusto Farfus, Jesse Krohn and Raffaele Marciello, while the new No.998 will feature Philipp Eng, Dan Harper and Max Hesse. Both cars are entered in the pro category.


Overall the Spa 24 grid will see 11 BMW M4 GT3s, five of which will be contesting for the overall victory. BMW, WRT and ROWE will all be aiming to win overall at the Spa 24 on the 28th and 29th of June 2025.
