Andretti Global have announced that they will be reuniting with Spanish racer Nerea Martí, ahead of the all-female Formula E test in Valencia on October 31.

Martí drove the Indianapolis-based team’s GEN3 Evo during the all-female Formula E test in 2024, gaining valuable knowledge and experience, placing 13th in the test. This year, she will be driving the Andretti Porsche 99X Electric across the two women-exclusive sessions.
Martí has a wealth of knowledge across several disciplines of racing, including single-seaters and GT racing. She made her car racing debut in 2018 in the F4 Spanish Championship, scoring a podium in her first event. She went on to collect a handful more points and took sixteenth in the final standings that year.
2021 saw the Spanish racer move to the now-defunct W Series, claiming a podium at the Hungaroring, which led to her being the highest-scoring rookie in the series. Martí capped off her campaign with fourth in the championship standings.
During the off-season, Martí competed in the GT Winter Series with BMW España Motorsport. During this campaign, the Valencian native took five wins and finished second in the championship.
In 2022, Martí raced in both W Series and CER - D1, where she took seventh and second in the driver standings, respectively.
2023 saw the creation of the all-female racing series, F1 Academy. Martí raced in the inaugural season with Campos Racing, taking one win and once again earning fourth in the driver standings. Alongside her F1 Academy campaign, the Spanish driver raced in the Formula Winter Series and the Spanish GT Championship.
2024 was Martí’s final year in F1 Academy, due to the rule that drivers are not allowed to compete in more than two seasons, and she continued with Campos Racing, but was partnered by American fashion giant, Tommy Hilfiger.
She matched her previous year’s driver standings position of fourth by claiming four podiums. Martí also competed in F4 Spanish Championship, Supercars Endurance Championship (in the GT4 Pro category) and NACAM Formula 4 Championship, where she had mixed results.
Currently, Martí is racing in Supercars Endurance Series (GT4) with Promotion Motorsport and after six races, she has claimed two wins, one pole position, a further podium and sits third in the driver standings.
After the news, Martí stated:
“I’m very grateful to Andretti Global for giving me this opportunity for the second year in a row. It’s an honor to be part of such a historic racing organization and Championship-winning team.
Getting back in a Formula E car is always special but doing it at home in Valencia makes it even more meaningful. After a long time without driving a single-seater, I’m exceptionally motivated and eager to get back on track. The experience in Madrid last year was very positive and allowed me to learn a lot – now I want to make the most of every lap to continue showing my potential and take another step forward in my career.”
Before going on to praise the driving force behind the tests:
“These tests are essential, as they provide women with the opportunity to demonstrate our potential and ability to compete on the Formula E grid – a Championship that continues to grow through its strong commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion.”
Team principal of Andretti Formula E, Roger Griffiths, showed support to Martí by saying:
“We’re very happy to welcome Nerea back to the Andretti Formula E team for another opportunity in the Andretti Porsche 99X Electric. Last time out in Jarama, Nerea acquitted herself very well, and we expect her to build upon that experience, especially at a track she knows well in her hometown of Valencia.
“Andretti Global has a proud history of supporting women drivers across multiple series and supporting the upcoming dedicated women’s test day underscores our genuine commitment to promoting diversity and equality in motorsport.”
