The 2025 Supercars Championship Finale in Adelaide last season left a rather sour taste in young Broc Feeney’s mouth, with Ryan Wood causing a collision in the race that mattered most.

23-year-old Feeney lost out on the championship title as a result of a combination of engine issues and a cheeky, albeit slightly dirty, manoeuvre that created the partial shunt between two-hot headed young blokes, snatching the title from Feeney’s grasp in an attempt at teamwork in the Walkinshaw Andretti United (WAU) garage.

Chaz Mostert, after thirteen years in the sport, had finally got his hands on the title, with the newly constructed finals showdown giving him a hand in the end, along with his defensive 22-year-old WAU teammate.

Feeney had a beautifully dominant year in 2025; his races and qualifying sessions showcasing what a future champion the Queenslander truly is. Paired with his positive attitude and excellent sportsmanship, he looked to be the favoured man to win it all. His performance throughout last season was a quiet tribute to what the future holds for the star, flawless and aggressive race raft all coming together at just the right moments.

But in 2026, Feeney is returning after a long break away from the media, making it clear he means business this season, suggesting that there will be a rivalry stronger than ever in the new season once he hops into that cockpit angrier than ever. With Ford now on board at Triple Eight Race Engineering, there’s a new era to be unveiled, and that era looks to be filled with an angry and hungry Feeney as he chases what is rightfully his.

The Triple Eight race driver suggests in an interview with 7NEWS Queensland that the clash won’t be the end of this rivalry, with the news station asking if he’s moved on from the unfortunate fiasco.

“No. How can I? I mean, I put my whole life into what I do,” Feeney said.

“Yeah, there’s a bit of bad blood in the water, that’s for sure.” he confirms the championship title hope-ending clash with Wood is still hanging above him, fuelling him for the season ahead.

The Triple Eight teammate, Will Brown, further confirmed the personalised vendetta between the two young blokes: “The worst thing is, he’s probably going to come back even hungrier, and if he comes back faster than he did this year (2025), we’re all screwed.”

The grid will go racing again on the 20th of February 2026 at Sydney Motorsport Park for the Sydney 500.
