The ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club) published the full entry list for this years edition of the Nürburgring 24 Hours event, set to take place across the combined GP circuit and the infamous Nordschleife in just over two weeks time.
The grid will be headlined by 27 SP9 (GT3) cars, made up from eight manufacturers. The reigning champions, Scherer Sport PHX will return with a two car entry, the No.1 Audi and the No.16 Porsche.
Porsche, in total, have seven cars in the twice round the clock event. Notably from those is the No.911 Manthey EMA, 'Grello' car, which will be piloted by Kevin Estre, Thomas Preining and Ayhancan Guvan. Meanwhile, Audi will have three other entries outside of the Scherer Sport car.
There will also be a strong showing, from Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Ford who will run four, four and three cars each respectively. The Ford Mustang GT3 will make its N24 debut this season, with HRT Ford Performance running a trio of cars.
Mercedes, BMW and Ferrari will all look to return to N24 glory with slightly reduced numbers, just three Mercedes', a single BMW and one car from Ferrari. However, none of these manufacturers can be counted out of the fight for victory, despite their small numbers.
The race is in the middle of the triple header of 24 hour races, the week after Le Mans and the week before Spa. With both of the other races containing GT3 machinery, the SP9 teams will face many logistical challenges on route to and from the Nürburgring.
Outside of the premier class, there also also healthy entry lists elsewhere in the field. There will be 10 SP10's (GT4), and over 10 cars in both Porsche cup classes (Cup 2 and Cup 3). SP8 T will also feature the famed 'Youtuber car' of Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Brown, Misha Charoudin and Manuel Metzger.
Finally the fan favourite Dacia Logan from Ollis Garage is entered again, to compete in the SP3 T class.
