Andretti's Jake Dennis will extend his contract with the American giant into Season 13 and beyond. The Briton has been a cornerstone of the team's rise in Formula E, winning seven E-Prix across six seasons with the franchise.

This announcement comes with an extension well into the Gen4 era, with Dennis set to stay as the American team's spearhead into Season 13 and beyond. Andretti are expected to partner up with Nissan heading into the future, with an announcement set to follow later into the year.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be signing a multi-year deal with Andretti Global," Dennis said, on the announcement of his fresh deal with the team.
"For me, it made perfect sense to continue our partnership and my career with the team, a team which I’ve been with from the start of my Formula E career. The belief the team has shown in me over the years has been incredible, and that trust means a huge amount.
"We’ve built something really strong together, and I’m proud to continue that journey with a group of people I know so well and genuinely enjoy working with. There have been so many great memories together, and I’m confident we can continue our success into the future.”
Coincidentally, the announcement comes exactly five years after Dennis made his Formula E debut at the Diriyah E-Prix. Driving for BMW i-Andretti alongside current DS Penske man Maximilian Günther, Dennis served up a stellar rookie campaign.
The Briton took two race wins at Valencia and later at his home event in London, in an extremely close campaign. He would miss out on the championship by only eight points, after an incident early in the finale at Berlin ruled him out.
After a difficult Season 8 that saw Dennis slide down the order, Season 9 brought about the best campaign for the Briton, one he would cherish for years to come.
The maiden year of the Gen3 era cars coming into effect saw Dennis start strong, taking a dominant victory to kick off the season in Mexico City.
Despite a series of DNFs and non-scores leaving him with plenty to do, Dennis reeled off a series of podiums, scoring eight in the final nine races to take home the championship, as his closest rivals Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans tripped up in the final two weekends of the year.
While Dennis hasn't been able to match those highs, he has still been a mainstay in Andretti's campaign, outscoring each of his teammates and ensuring Andretti take atleast one podium finish every season.
Dennis also took the opening victory of the year once again, this time to kick off Season 12 in São Paulo. Although he sits eighth in the standings after five races, he certainly remains in the hunt for victories and podiums all the way through.
Alongside his Formula E exploits, Dennis has also served as a development driver at Red Bull's Formula 1 operations. He also famously completed an FP1 session at Abu Dhabi in 2023, driving Max Verstappen's title-winning RB19 that weekend.
Dennis has also taken to sportscar racing, having competed in the GT World Challenge Europe in the past, and is set to continue at BMW in 2026, piloting the No. 98 ROWE Racing BMW entry alongside endurance veterans Augusto Farfus and Raffaele Marciello.
Andretti's team principal Roger Griffiths too expressed his delight to have Dennis continue at the American team, mentioning the early days of working with the Briton and his development at the team.
“I am beyond pleased to be able to make this announcement. At the time, when the team, along with BMW, initially partnered with Jake, we never could have imagined how the relationship would develop. Jake has been an integral part of Andretti Formula E’s transformation into one of the series’ leading teams of today.
"His commitment to us, his belief in the team and ours in him, is one of the key reasons for all of the success we have been fortunate enough to have experienced together. We look forward to closing out the current season as strong as we started it before transitioning to Season 13 together,” Griffiths concluded.
