Round 10 of the 2025 Super Formula season was supposed to be held on the twelfth of October, but was cancelled due to the intense fog that affected the circuit during the scheduled start time for the race.
Super Formula have announced that a replacement for the cancelled race will take place on the season finale weekend. It will take place on the 23rd of November, before the final race of the season.
It will be a 19-lap sprint race starting at 9:50 AM JST, and full points will be awarded. Since qualifying for round 10 was already held, the starting order will follow those results. Meaning, Tadasuke Makino will be starting on pole.
Igor Omura Fraga will start second. Title rivals Kakunoshin Ohta and Ayumu Iwasa will share the second row, and two-time champion Tomoki Nojiri rounds off the top 5.
Championship leader Sho Tsuboi will be starting only seventh.
The top three in the drivers’ standings are separated by just 14.5 points, with Iwasa and Ohta tied for second. Things are heating up in the teams’ standings as well. Team Dandelion lead the standings by 15.5 points over Team TOM’S and 21.5 points over Team Dandelion.
The current race weekend schedule will be as follows:
Free Practices 1 and 2 will take place on Friday at 11:05 AM and 2:10 PM, respectively.
Saturday will be packed with qualifying for round 11 taking place early at 8:00 AM and for round 12 at 10:00 AM. Round 11 will also take place that afternoon at 2:30 PM
The newly added sprint race will start at 9:50 AM and the season finale will commence at 2:30 PM. All times are in JST.
