Over the next three weeks, 279 cars will race for 72 hours, in three milestone races across three different countries.

62 cars, comprising Hypercars, LMP2s and GT3s, will take to the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France for the world's biggest endurance race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 14th June.

A week later, on 21st June, 141 cars will take to the world-famous Nürburgring Nordschleife for the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. The packed grid will feature everything from GT3 cars, GT4 machinery, Porsche cup cars and even a Dacia Logan!

Finally, on 28th June, 76 GT3 cars will accelerate up Eau Rouge and Raidillon at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the 24 Hours of Spa. Each driver's ability and concentration will be paramount in the gigantic field of cars.

Out of the almost 300 entries (each with three or four drivers), only five drivers will attempt to tackle all three races, back-to-back. Maxime Martin, Luca Stolz, Augusto Farfus, Raffaele Marciello and Kelvin Van Der Linde will all aim for glory in the ‘72 Hours of June’.

In 2024, 15 drivers took on the challenge of all three, although the races spanned five weeks, rather than three. Marciello and Martin are returning from last year's list, ranking 12th and sixth, respectively. Farfus also returns from 12 months ago to defend the first-place ranking he received last year.

Farfus, our reigning champion, will drive the BMW M4 GT3 Evo in all three races. He will feature in the No.31 Bend Team WRT car alongside Timur Boguslavskiy and Yasser Shahin for Le Mans.

He will drive the No.98 ROWE Racing car alongside Jesse Khron and two other entrants on this list, Marciello and Van Der Linde at the Nürburgring. For Spa, he will drive the same No.98 alongside Khron and Marciello.

Marciello’s entry for Le Mans will come for BMW too, but this time in the Hypercar class. He will drive the No.15 BMW M Hybrid V8 alongside Dries Vanthoor and Kevin Magnussen in their attempt at an overall win. The Swiss-Italian driver will drive in the same entries as Farfus for Spa and the Nürburgring.

The final BMW driver, Kelvin Van Der Linde, will also drive the BMW M4 GT3 Evo in all three races. The South African will race the No.46 WRT alongside Valentino Rossi and Ahmad Al-Harthy for Le Mans, the No.98 for Nürburgring and the No.32 WRT alongside Charles Weerts and Ugo De Wilde for Spa.

Former BMW driver (now Mercedes man) Maxime Martin will drive the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in all three events. For Le Mans, he will be a part of the No.61 Iron Lynx car with Martin Berry and Lin Hodenius.

At the Nürburgring, he will race the No.14 GetSpeed car with Stolz, Maro Engel and Fabian Schiller. Finally, he will drive the No.9 Boutsen VDS car in Spa, alongside Mikal Grenier and Maximillian Götz.

Speaking of Stolz, he too will form part of the Iron Lynx squadron in Le Mans, in the No.63, piloting that car alongside Stephen and Brenton Grove. He joins Martin at the Nürburgring and will be in the No.17 GetSpeed car for Spa with Schiller and Joules Gounon.

No matter how any of these five drivers perform in the races, completing three 24-hour races in just as many weeks is a massive feat of endurance, and all three deserve immense respect for being brave enough to take on the challenge.

However, each of them will hope that the massive physical and mental challenge they are about to undertake will pay off with some silverware at the end of the month.

Keep an eye on our website and our socials for our final rankings at the end of the month.
