With a series of composed and assertive statements, Isack Hadjar has deftly reframed the conversation around the coveted second Red Bull seat, shifting the narrative from one of driver demotion to one of his own potential promotion.

Until now, much of the paddock talk has centred on the incumbent driver’s results. However, Hadjar’s recent comments have moved the spotlight, recasting the story as a compelling case for his own merit-based ascent to the senior Formula One team.
The Racing Bulls driver dismisses the rumours with a confidence as he makes it clear that his focus is entirely on his performance. This stance portrays him as a driver earning the opportunity to be promoted, instead of a passive replacement.
When asked about the speculation, Hadjar’s response was telling: "You think when I’m in the car that I’m thinking about all of these rumours in the paddock? I have other problems to deal with".

While he was insistent that no deal has been signed for 2026, he simultaneously affirmed his lifelong ambition, positioning himself as a natural successor within the Red Bull programme.
"The goal has always been to be a Red Bull driver since I signed with Red Bull with the Red Bull Junior Team, so I think it is quite clear," he said.
Crucially, Hadjar laid out a clear path forward defined by on-track results. Any decision would come at the end of the year, giving him the time to perform his best in the season's final races.
"It has always been decided, at least for me, at the very end of the season," he explained. "I think it makes sense, because there are eight races to go, so I need to keep pushing".
With these comments, Hadjar has successfully changed the question. It is no longer just about whether a seat will become vacant, but whether his potential for phenomenal results makes him the undeniable choice to fill it.
